Autumn
Autumn in Kilada can be the ideal time for that late season break. The weather is mild, the humidity is low, and early to mid-autumn the climate is conducive to activity of all kinds. Even swimming, as the water temperature will stay close to 20 degrees for some time.
October brings temperatures of 19 degrees. A mild, even warm temperature for those used to Northern Europe.
November brings a drop in wind and a temperature of just under 10 degrees during the day and below 5 degrees at night.

February sees a slight increase in air temperature to a tick above 10 degrees. With the chance of the odd warmer day. The night-time lows will again be around zero.
The sea temperature continues to drop to just below 15 degrees. It will feel very cold.
It’s worth remembering that, while 15 degrees on land, dressed in your cardigan and jacket seems quite pleasant. 15 degrees sea temperature will feel very much colder to the skin.
March in Patras brings with it a mean temperature of 12.6C, a high of 15C, and a low of 8C. Most of the region receives eight to ten days of rain and about 12 hours of daily sunlight. The sea temperature is about 15.5C.

More modern history presents the Palamidi Castle. Built by the Venetians in 1714 to protect their commerce in the area, the castle set almost 400 feet up, high and canted on the hillside. It presents an awe inspiring monument to Greece’s important role in Mediterranean trade.
Friendly Greece
One of the best ways to describe Greece is as people-friendly. The local Greek population genuinely love visitors and many ex-pats become part of the local community. The social culture in Greece is much more open when compared to living as an ex-pat in many other European countries. Local events form part of the rich local culture and tapestry of life in Greece.
